The NSCA governs the sport of Sporting Clays through volunteer member representatives that span geographic regions, clubs, and industry.

Executive Council
The Executive Council consists of six (6) members elected from the Advisory Council: two representing industry, two representing range owners, and two representing shooters. The immediate past chairman of the Executive Council is also a member of the Executive Council.

Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is comprised of NSCA members exhibiting the highest devotion to the sport, the members, and the Association. There are 45 available positions, divided equally between representatives of Industry, Range Owners, and Shooters. The primary function of the Advisory Council is to promote and guide the Association.

Regional Delegates
One Regional Delegate is elected from each of the five regions by vote of the National Delegates in that region. Candidates for Regional Delegate must be currently elected National Delegates.

National Delegates
National Delegates are elected to two-year terms to represent each state and other geographic subdivisions of the association. The number of Delegates from each state is determined by the number of NSCA members in the state.
